Abstract

In this paper, we study return words of the factors in tq, the q-ary Thue-Morse word, q greater than 3. Then, we obtain the cardinality of return words of these factors. At end, we show that For any factor w of tq, the cardinality of the set of return words of w iterates through all values in the set {q2-q+1, q2-q+2, ..., q2}.
