Aim and scope of the special issue: The subject of fractional calculus (that is, calculus of integrals and derivatives of any arbitrary real or complex order) has gained considerable popularity and importance during the past four decades and longer, due mainly to its demonstrated applications in numerous seemingly diverse and widespread fields of science and engineering. It does indeed provide several potentially useful tools for solving differential, integral and integrodifferential equations, and various other problems involving special functions of mathematical physics as well as their extensions and generalizations in one and more variables. Both review, expository and original research articles dealing with the recent advances in the theory of fractional calculus and its multidisciplinary applications are invited for this Special Issue. It consists of papers based on talks presented at the 2nd International Conference on Recent Development in Engineering and Technology (ICRDET 2021) which will be held in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India during February 26-27, 2021 (https://anandice.ac.in/icrdet21/).

The submitted article is subjected to plagiarism scan before the refereeing process.

The submitted article should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Editorial decisions on the acceptance or otherwise are taken within 12 weeks (three months) of receipt of the paper. Upon acceptance, we will publish all the duly refereed research papers in one issue of the 13th volume which will appear in 2022.
